You set up your shiny new website, enthusiastic about all the witty and insightful anecdotes that you will be sharing with your legions of followers, and then in the first couple of months you write about absolutely anything you can think of (my Christmas eating masterpiece, for example). Kick-off time
So, a kick-off trip for the MLW project. I head out to Lusaka, Zambia at the end of this month to attend the Sustainable Energy Southern Africa Forum of the Africa-EU Energy Partnership. I am delighted to have secured one of 16 grants awarded by the British Academy, under their Sustainable Development Programme. The grant will fund a major research project to further sustainable development and work to eliminate poverty. This programme from the British Academy' is supported by the UK government's £1.5 billion Global Challenges Research Fund. My project, entitled 'Making Light Work' focuses on a unique model for delivering utility-scale solar powered electrici
